Sam Bradford was selected as the 74th winner of the Heisman Trophy, representing the Most Outstanding College Football Player in the United States for 2008.

Bradford led the Sooner Football team, the highest-scoring team in major college history, to the BCS Championship Title game.

Bradford lead the nation in passer rating (186.3) and had thrown for 4,464 yards with the Sooners’ fast-paced, no-huddle offense.

The Oklahoma Sooners racked up 702 points before the Heisman announcment.  This blasted the Sooners past the record set by Hawaii in 2006 of 656 points.  The Sooners became the first major college team in 89 years to score at least 60 points in five consecutive games.

Sam Bradford becomes the fifth Oklahoma Sooner to win the Heisman Trophy.  To see a more information on other winners, go here: Sooner Heisman Trophy Winners
